This website has been designed with close co-operation and direct input from People First. A team of People First staff managed the project, led by Project Manager Raymond Johnson. Right from the outset, People First worked on design and layout issues, took on development problems and met regularly every two weeks with their developers Redmoth to ensure a close working relationship.
Accessibility issues were key during the website discussions. It was decided following extensive consultation that the use of access pictures was the most important element to the website. As people with a wide range of learning difficulties, we wanted to make the website as easy to use as possible for as many of our community members. Similarly, it was important to make sure that images and text were easy to click on for those users that had difficulty using pointing devices like a mouse. For this reason, the menu text is also generated as images with a normal accessible menu repeated at the foot of the page.
As is normal on many sites, you can also change the background colour of the page and make the text bigger or smaller to suit your needs. If you can think of other things that might be useful to you please email us at general@peoplefirstltd.com. We would love to hear from you!
