Service Providers

We work with service providers and self advocacy groups over a period of time.

People First can work with service providers on:

• Involving people with learning difficulties at all stages in the running and planning of services
• Planning services that are person-centered and follow the Valuing People principles of choice and control, independence and inclusion
• Checking how well services are meeting the needs of people with learning difficulties

Self Advocacy Groups
Local Partnership Boards can ask People First to work with local self advocacy groups to develop skills and build strong organisations. 

We offer consultancy support and training in:

• Developing as a charity and company
• Being user led and working with members
• Developing Management Committee skills
• Business Planning
• Fundraising
• Equal Opportunities good practice
