How to Consult with People with Learning Difficulties

Aim

Too often people with learning difficulties are not asked what they want to see changed in their lives, services, rules and policies. This one day training session will look at good ways to ask disabled people with learning difficulties what changes they want to happen and provide you with sound information to take forward planning, policies and services.

If you need to contact people with learning difficulties, People First can help with consultation and evaluation.

Benefits

You will be able to base your policies, planning and services on what disabled people with learning difficulties say is important to them; and be sure that your consultation is not tokenistic.

The people who you provide services for will be getting the services which they want because they have been involved in a meaningful way.
