Easy Read Awareness and Making Information Accessible
Aim
This one day course will teach participants how to look at written information through the eyes of a person with learning difficulties and then to make the information accessible without losing its full meaning.
Content
- What Easy Read information is!
- Different ways to communicate with people with learning difficulties using a variety of exercises
- Learn how to use the People First Picturebank ‘Access to Pictures’, which will be used to support this session
- Work on examples of inaccessible information to make it accessible, using documents used in your own organisation
